Have any of you done any rear brake mods while maintaining the stock system? Have you changed the brake pads, brake lines, or brake fluid?
Thanks for your suggestions.

I changed the all four rotors with Brembo XD and Mintex red brake pads, brakes fluid as well, i spoke with my mechanic and he recomend Audi Brakes fluid. As i know S4 has a nice vented rear brake rotors, i don't think you need to change anything.Probably only the pads. But IMHO i wouldn't go for Mintex Red, i don't like them.

I was thinking about upgrading the rear brakes as well, by replacing the rotors and pads to the Brembo set. While purchasing the set for the front, our contact at Brembo said that the full rear kit will come out sometime in the beginning of Spring. I'll wait until then to either buy the whole rear kit, or just upgrade the rotors and pads...all depending on pricing, since it probably won't add much performance braking gains!

As you know, the rear ones don't do anything if i can say that, only diffence is cool look, you just pay a lot for good look. if you have extra this money it is ok.And i don't think you race with your car on track. All upgrade for rear is just waiste of money.
IMHO

Ok, here's my take on rear-brake mods. I have 332mm stoptechs up front and street/track pads all around. The rear brakes with the upgraded pads are so grippy, I can rotate the car under braking due to rear wheel lockup. You DO NOT need bigger brakes in the rear, unless you also get a brake distribution adjuster, because you will loose stability in your car under heavy braking. If you really want rear brakes, gimme $1k and I'll give you my pads
