Can anyone help?
I need some help here because I'm new to the state. Nancy & I need advice on which communities to look at houses in. She works in Marlborough and I work from home so proximity to her work is important.
Rey & Juliette's area in Ashland is really nice. Someone suggested we look in Princeton/Sterling and others have suggested Upton. Any input?

Hee hee...the BLING BLING pad is sold - sorry Brian. Thanks though MadMan ;D My (soon to be former) town of Hopkinton is nice though, as is Southboro. Convenient to 495/90/9 which is good. ...BLING BLING!!! 8) If you have the means to acquire AluminouS4's place, I highly recommend it. It's so choice.

Those are all nice towns.
Upton, Grafton, Hopkinton, Milford are all close to that area. Most off of 495, 140, and rt 85 is also good(backroad to Malborough) Ashland is also nice. I grew up in Milford, and its a nice town.
Southborough is also a really nice town.
Good luck.

Good for you. I just bought a house, had it all signed and the mortgage all set and got laid off I was so happy to cause I am so young, gonna be owning my own house. But it was not meant to be. But if you are looking for a house. Anything around or east of the 495 belt is considered part of Metro West Boston. So if you can go a little further west house prices drop quite a bit. Sterling is nice, some parts of Clinton are not bad at all.. Good luck dood, its a lot of work but in the end is worth it. Someday I will own a house. But for now its gonna be apartment living for me..

You know I like your pad now. I'm more of the city type and being outside of the 128 loop is too far for me, much less the 495 loop. For my $ I'd rather stay closer to the city and pay the extra money. But I like the restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.
Any of the towns around you have nice areas where you can still get a little space. Arlington (around spy pond), Belmont, Lexington,Winchester, Newton. Just $$$
Now if you truly want to make me happy you should just get one of those new condos down at the Ritz on the Common and have a spare room for when I'm out on the town. ;D

Yeah, a pad along the common with a spare room, a fully stocked scotch cabinet and a spare parking spot, huh?

I'll be moving to Back Bay in July, but no extra parking spots unfortunately. It's hard enough to get 2 for our cars! But the city is definately where its at! You know I like your pad now. Thanks, guys. We'll be looking aver the next 12 months. I have a feeling the market will tank and I'd like to be waiting in the wings for that to happen. Maybe that way I can afford something closer to the city.
In the meantime Nancy & I are going to be around the 495 area looking.
