I need to swap my summer/winter tires onto the opposite wheels. Any good recommendations on a place to go to have them swapped and balanced. I obviously want to go somewhere that is going to do it without scratching the rims. I am in Andover, MA, so north shore/Merrimac Valley would be best.
Thanks, Jim

I've had good luck at the Town Fair Tire in Lynnfield (or maybe Saugus) on Rt 1 north. They got me my snow tires, and very nicely fixed (at no cost to me) a fsckup that Tirerack caused with my summer wheels.
I know a few other people who have gotten work done there and have been happy with it too. Much better than the Directire jerkoffs.

NTB is great... great at fu*king you over. I have a hard time driving past NTB without spitting out my window. I'm currently suing them for $840+ for tire and rim damage. They just got served yesterday for failure to show in court, the bastards. Why I took the chance in the first place is beyond me.

I've had good luck at Direct Tire in Watertown, but not in Peabody. The Peabody shop ended up ripping one of my rubber valve covers off my stoptechs, but at least they were nice enough to shine my tires for me.

Much better than the Directire jerkoffs. I've had good luck with Directire. I also use the one in Watertown and can't speak for any of the other ones including the one up on the north shore but I've got nothing but nice things to say about those guys.

I was quoted $65 for mounting and balancing the tires at Direct Tire whereas $10 at Town Fair. I wonder why there is such a big difference. I am getting 19 inch rims, and I am a bit worried about whether they will screw up as well.
