So, today was the day. I had made an appointment to get a few things out of the way, and left the car with Clair Audi/Porsche all day. They gave me a 1997 Audi A4 2.8 Avant with front wheel drive. Not bad, since I got the Honda Civic last time.
Okay, about the work. I decided to go against having them touch the drivers seat to fix the rocking, because seriously it was not that bad, and I was afraid it would do more harm then good. I wanted the "hamster wheel" noise fixed from behind the temperature control module. I wanted a new inspection sticker. I wanted an oil change. I wanted my bent wheel replaced with a new one, which involved finding which rear wheel was bent, and then unmount the tire and remounting it.
Wheel issue was done great. No visible issues with the mounting, such as scratches and all. Great job.
Sticker was tough. Apparently my tinting is too dark, and the front turn signals are not yellow enough. No problem, I told Tom. Good thing is that they did not give me a "Rejected" sticker.
They lubed the fan behind the temperature control module.
The oil change (which I brought my oil) was done part of the 30K mile maintenance. Lots of goodies, including the brake fluid change.
Charge was only $30! How about that!
Car is 26K miles, and a month short of 2 years. They were great.
You guys know about my mods, and the only issue was the sticker, one which Tom called me personally to tell me about, and did not wait for me to come in and find out.
One more thing. I dropped the car off at 7:30AM, and Tom and Jeff were already cracking some good jokes with a couple of customers. Can't beat that!
