Hi everyone, I am new here. I have a quick question for anyone who can help, I am getting a set of Eibach springs. The ones the dealership sells, they say I do not need to get new shocks with them. Anyone have opinions? It is for A4 2.8 quattro. Thanks.

Need to: no. Want to: yes.
Your stock shocks will wear out faster with springs they were not designed for, and you will not truely enjoy your new suspension as only one part of the compression/dampning cycle is modified. If you don't have the money, it's better then nothing. But if you have the extra few hundred $$$ I'd say get the full kit. Oh, and look outside of Audi. You can probably find better, cheaper, elsewhere.

okay, I have done a lot of research on this and un-fortunatly have not done it yet.
But everything I have read says you should change the shocks out as well. They will wear out 20X faster with aftermarket springs.
So yes, get shocks as well, so you don't have to take it all apart or pay someone to do it 6 months down the road.
And welcome.. Come to a meet some time, always a good time!!!!

As usual, Mike is right on. I would highly recommend matching your Eibach springs with aftermarket shocks. Better safe than sorry. ;D Need to: no. Want to: yes.
