Hi All,
Now that I have a break from work for a few days, I am finally able to check out some of the Audi forums out there. This is just a first post to say hello and to see how the posting works.
Today, I changed over my chrome trim from my original grill to my RS4 grill. Not too bad a job. I cut out little plastic pieces from a 2-liter plastic bottle to prop each of the little clips open so I could easily work my way around the grill. Only took about 30 minutes to pull the trim off of each one and switch them.
Another winter project I am thinking about is painting my brake calipers. Have any of you done this? I have seen quite a few postings about it on AuidWorld. Any advice? Does anybody know how anal IRA is about modifications and the car's warranty? Is there any way that painting the calipers could void the warranty?
Thanks, Jim

Yeah...2. My wife liked mine so much, we got a second. We looked at Volvo XC's and the Allroad, but nothing compared to the S4, so we got the second one. I like driving the sedan much better because it is a 6-speed. The only thing that I like better about the Avant is the view out of the side windows. I find the sedan blind spots pretty rough, but they are non-existent in the Avant. If we were to do it all over again, we would probably get the Tiptronic sedan and the Avant in a 6-speed. Then the Avant would be mine and the sedan would be my wifes. She has always wanted a shiny black sedan, but she likes the convenience of an automatic for her commute. I think the Avant definitely looks sweet in this shade of Blue.

Good to have you onboard. You should probably be allowed 2 nicks since you got twice the S4 most of us do.
I don't think painting the calipers will void warranty or anything. As long as all else is stock on the brakes, most likely it won't be a problem.
I got some of the red paint for the calipers if that is the color you are looking for. I got some and have not used it, and plan not to. Willing to give it away!
