Hey guys! They have a great setup at Adrenaline. ;D We should definitely plan something over there some time soon. Next month, as nene had mentioned, they will have an Audi Dyno Day. It saves ya $35, meaning it costs you only $65 for the first run, $30 each additional run. Me and Dan got to see what we were running at the wheels and also found out that I either have a boost leak or that my turbos are "unhealthy". I got two runs: ~246.1 HP, ~316 lb/ft--> at the wheelspictureposter.audiworld.com/24554/dyno1.jpgpictureposter.audiworld.com/24554/dyno1af.jpg[shadow=blue,left,300]The only question is, how much am I making at the crank? Dood 246.1 ... Thats not good.. I wonder what the deal is? Have you had any trouble, any symptoms of trouble?
What did Dan run? Curious to see how his car handled...

It's great that you both went and checked out the setup. At the dyno, then can sort of tell you if something is wrong, but they can't pinpoint it? What's the next step? What do you tell your dealership service dept.?
Your 315lbs of torque...that's got to be chipped right? Can't wait to go there in a couple of weeks, when they'll have the Audi dyno day. $35 is not that much...but the reason I chose to wait is to check out other S4 setups that hopefully will show up.
Where's Dan's metrics? That's got to be interesting to find out!

Isn't 246.1 right on the money? That's about 25% down from what Abt claims you should be making at the crank (330, right?). That kind of loss is pretty reasonable with Quattro.

The HP looks about right where it should be 310+. The only problem is that if you look at the plot, it drops off...SHARPLY! The torque seem like it's in the ~400 range. It's heading to the dealer soon, just to see if there really is a boost leak...or if my K03s are shot.

What are the stock values suppose to be at, does anyone know? I just need something to compare it to when I take my car in.
TIA

Stock is 163-175 HP and torque at the wheels vs 250/258 @ the crank.

I think that's normal. Looks like it is just the K03s running out of steam or the ECU going into full safety mode. My car (albiet just a 1.8T) did the same thing at the same revs when I dynoed it. Take a look at the plots in my PP. Right where the power drops like a rock is where my ECU decides to richen the mixture even more, I think bringing it from 12:1 down to 11:1 (with a peak of 14:1 @ ~3k). About 2-3 weeks later I got a CEL due to a cracked vacuum line (don't know which tho). It's a shame you didn't get a good A/F plot since that'd be useful in trouble shooting. The second plot shows the A/F mix. Yep, It did get crazy rich. That what the guys at Adrenaline said. I spoke to a few guys running the K04 setup and they said that where the K03s drop off...the bigger turbos just keep gong and going and going....that's alot of power!

...APC's numbers are right on. Ami, President of Adrenalin said he dynoed over 350+ S4 and none of them did over 220hp on the dyno with just a chip and exhaust. When he saw the 246 by APC he was shocked. He couldn't believe it.
Ami said there was at least a 35% loss but I've been talking to a few experts and 25% is more reasonable.
So APC's hp is around 328+ which is very good for just a chip and cat-back exhaust.
FYI: stock S4 dyno only 185 to 190.
Me? I only got 224 on the dyno or 299hp. Why? Long story short, I received my Abt ECU 12pm the day of the dyno, installed it and drove straight to Adrenalin. The ECU didn't have time to adapt fully and all the readiness codes didn't clear/weren't completed. I did pull 380+ torque @ 2,500rpm though.
I will go back in about two weeks for another dyno run. No big deal.
